Throughout Q2 2023, the performance of the top 5 navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Mexico exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here, we look at the weekly performance metrics for each app, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a mixed trend in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 52.7K in the week of April 24. Downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending at around 38K in the final week of June. Active users for the app ranged from 490K at the start of the quarter to a slight dip mid-quarter, before recovering to 504K at the end of June.

Google Earth experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 21.9K in late March and reaching 25.7K by the end of June. Active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 191K and peaking at 200K in the final week of the quarter.

Radar Map, Radar Detector, HUD displayed a varied pattern in downloads, with a notable peak of 13.9K in the week of May 22. Weekly active users increased significantly, from 18.3K at the beginning of the quarter to 38.7K by the end of June.

Maps All in One, Speedometer showed a decline in weekly downloads mid-quarter, dropping to 3.7K in late May before recovering to 7.4K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing to 7.1K in late May but rebounding to 10.2K by the end of the quarter. The app also generated consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $89 in the week of May 22.

Lastly, Google Maps demonstrated a significant rise in downloads, particularly in early June, peaking at 19.7K. Active users remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, hovering around 462K to 474K.
